The syllabus will serve both as a schedule for and a guide to the readings. Each of the reproduced readings is noted as a xerox, and the volume in which it is located is indicated. For many of the readings, a focus note is provided. Read the note both before doing the reading so that it can serve as a filter, and after the reading so that you can organize your thoughts on this subject in preparation for the class lecture.
